Boiler Replacement

Existing heating boilers in the penthouse were nearing the end of their service life and needed to be replaced with high efficiency units.

Scope of work

Due to space constraints, LPI’s plumbing and HVAC division disassembled the new boilers to facilitate transportation to the penthouse boiler room. We dismantled the existing boilers and disposed of them offsite, and reassembled the new boilers on the existing housekeeping pads.

We reworked the water, gas and venting to accommodate the new boiler configuration. We installed new condensate drain lines complete with neutralizers that discharge to the nearest floor drain. We also installed new boiler venting to meet the manufacturer’s requirements for the high-efficiency boiler. Our technicians commissioned the equipment and tested it for proper operation before turning it over to building operations.
