Project description:

We were tasked with design/build construction of a 580,000 square foot net zero carbon industrial parcel sorting facility with a 30,000 SF office. The construction included meeting rooms, cafeteria, storage area, technical rooms (data/server rooms), electrical room and operations area.

Scope of work:

The building is designed to be net zero carbon ready, meaning it’s built to maximize energy efficiency and minimize the impact of carbon fuels on the environment.

The HVAC system we installed features large custom air handling units with energy recovery wheels, variable air volume air terminal units and air relief fans for cooling. The cooling system uses centrifugal chillers and open loop cooling towers, while the heating system consists of boilers, heat exchangers, unit heaters and radiators.

The Building Management System (BMS) is a smart system that controls the building’s components and ensures efficient operation through the use of variable frequency, pressure independent and control valve (PICV) technology. This technology controls water flow and uses differential pressure sensors to prolong the life of the system.
